Hello Community Members,
As we continue to cope with the challenges of COVID 19 pandemic, which has dramatically altered everyone’s daily lives, including how we work, travel, communicate, and greet one another; I want our community members to know we will remain – TAMPA STRONG!
Over the past several weeks, we at Project LINK have recognized the need for access to mental health services, which has become an increasingly pressing issue, as the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the resulting social isolation and overwhelming uncertainty, have all led to significant spikes in mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, and more.
To address this increasing needs, we have launched EmergU Telehealth to connect people to the necessary mental health treatment needed by many of our under-served distressed families, who are less likely to have health coverage or access to licensed professional counselors to deal with mental behavioral challenges brought on by this pandemic.
We have enlisted licensed therapists, mental health counselors, psychologists, and clinical social workers throughout the State of Florida to provide community members with confidential one-on-one counseling right from their place of comfort. The only requirement to access this service is a mobile phone, laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.
I would like to this opportunity to thank those under-recognized front-line heroes for their continued dedication and support to individuals whose been overwhelmed with mental health crisis, even before this pandemic.
We want the community to know that our independent providers (psychologist, mental health counselors, licensed therapists) are part of the courageous brigade of health providers offering their services to address mental health conditions emerging as a result of COVID-19 pandemic outcomes.
If you are interested in supporting this effort, by becoming an independent provider or a partner of the EmergU Telehealth program, please contact me at (813) 276-5671 or email tyoung@project-link.org.
Be well,
